after my upgrade to evolution 2.23.90 in the list of emails what i'm seeing now is lot of emails without from and subject the date on them is now "?" , i'm attaching an screenshot showing the issue, thanks.

Just as another datapoint, upgraded to 2.23.90 from ubuntu repositories and I'm having the same problem.

Can you delete your ~/.evolution/mail/vfolder/vfolders.db and restart Evolution?

I think, I know the problem, when mails are deleted, they aren't removed from the vfolder db.

I tried deleting the ~/.evolution/mail/vfolder/folders.db and restarting evolution but the situation is the same i still have a lot of emails lost with ?

Important patch

This is important, and can cause mail data to be lost. It may continue to have "?" after that. The only way to get over is to edit the mbox files and manually delete the From headers :(

2.23.90.1 is released. This should be fixed.
