Description Michael Strobel 2008-08-15 12:16:48 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Hi,

i'm using evolution and the gnome-key-ring application to store my imap/pop password. I'm starting evolution automaticly with my gnome session and that's the problem in my opinion. The gnome-keyring asks me for my masterpassword to unlock the keychain, but if i'm waiting too long the pop/imap server times out and asks me for my server password which didn't change of course. So the problem seems to be evolution connection to the server and waiting for the password of the key chain while the server times out and returns a pointless error or a simple "connection timed out".

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start evolution with imap/pop password in the gnome-keyring
2. wait 10 minutes or so
3. be forced to re enter you password

Actual results:
error message and i had to reenter my password

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
yes if the timeout is reached

I can confirm. After any fail in connection to mailbox evolution forgets password.

Thanks for a bug report. I'm marking this as a duplicate of some older bug, to have them all together.
