GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 547653
Anjuta hangs in startup, if a glade file was opened at last session
Last modified: 2008-08-15 14:18:21 UTC
Please describe the problem: if you leave a glade file opened in your project anjuta will hang at the next startup Environment: openSUSE 11.0, KDE4.1, Glade 3.4.3 Steps to reproduce: 1. created a standard gtkmm/c++ "hello world" project 2. auto config, compile and exec 3. open the glade file 4. close anjuta with this opened project and the open glade file tab 5. Restart anjuta, which will try to reopen the project and the glade file Actual results: anjuta hangs in splash screen forever, last note is "loaded: *.glade" Expected results: of course a successful startup Does this happen every time? yes Other information: there are some hints that are work arounds also: - rename the project folder, so anjuta can't open project -> rename again and open project then will work fine - close the glade file in the project, before leaving -> project will work fine
one hint might be confusing, better is: - rename the project folder, so anjuta can't open project and start anjuta -> rename again and open project then will work fine I call it critical, because common users have a dead lock: they can't open anjuta to close the glade file ;-)
My Gnome Version is 2.22.1. this bug seems to be a dup of #535001, at least if it was fixed after Gnome 2.22.1
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. The patch should be available in anjuta 2.4.2, would be nice if you could check this. It was released together with GNOME 2.22.2! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 535001 ***
