Description Erik Nedwidek 2001-05-15 19:27:17 UTC
This may be a dup of 14272, but that bug cites 1.2helix.

In the sound-properties capplet I clear the input box for the sound name.
Close the capplet, reopen and the sound is back.

I checked in /home/nedwidek/.gnome/sound/gnome.soundlist and saw:
[clicked]
file=

which is good, but looking in /etc/sound/events/gnome.soundlist:
[clicked]
file=clicked.wav

changed that line to "file=" and the sound permanently disappeared so we
have a workaround. However I would only expect to fall back on the global
settings if I didn't have a stanza defined in my prefs for that event. If I
do have a [clicked] stanza and file is set to blank it should mean I don't
want a sound.

Richard: be wary of this as you add sound events back in; you should
close it when you are done.

Just doing some tagging of files I've already triaged. Filter on 'luis doing
