Description memo garcia 2008-08-07 23:33:14 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I am using a not English keyboard (Latinamerica) where some special characters, such as @, |, # , ~, ..., requires to hold the Alt Graphic key together with with other key.
This key combination doesn't work, generates the normal value of the key.
As can be noticed, some special characters are very used (mail address by example)

Steps to reproduce:
1. using a non US English keyboard and trying ALT-1 for |, ALT-2 for @, etc.
2.
3.

Actual results:
A wrong character is displayed

Expected results:
To display the proper character :-)

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
At least it happens using the standard terminal.
Apropos, Im using Ubuntu as the client machine and connecting to a Red Hat box.
