Description Paul Bolle 2008-08-06 10:44:12 UTC
help/c/evolution.xml now reads (in part):

"Evolution allows you to delete unwanted messages. To delete a message, select it and press the Delete key, or click the delete tool in the toolbar, press Ctrl+D, or right-click the message, then click Delete.
When you press Delete or click the Trash folder, your mail is not actually deleted, but is marked for deletion."

The "click the Trash folder" makes no sense to me. I'll have to think about a better phrase.

Proposal:

To mark a message for deletion, select the message and:

  - Click the Delete key.

  or

  - Click the Delete button in the toolbar.

  or

  - Press Ctrl+D.

  or

  - Right-click, then click Delete from the pop-up menu.

Eliminates the need for the last sentence. A sentence about expunging messages marked for deletion should follow (maybe it already does?).

I am closing this as OBSOLETE we killed the traditional user manual in favor of a topic-based, Mallard formatted one in Evolution version 3.1.5/3.1.90.
