Description Joanmarie Diggs (IRC: joanie) 2008-08-05 18:01:28 UTC
The gmail standard/ARIA interface has an "options" menu in the chat section. When the options button is pressed, one can arrow around in this menu but Orca speaks and brailles nothing as a result. Turns out we are not getting any events whatsoever when the focused/selected item changes. :-(

I'm not sure if this is a Mozilla bug or a Gmail bug, so I went with Mozilla. :-)

Marco suggested that if the set status menu works/emits events, then this is not a Firefox/Mozilla bug, but a gmail bug. I can confirm that we are getting the correct events in the set status menu. So it's a gmail bug. We're still blocked though. :-(

I'm going through Firefox bugs assigned to me. Orca is now reading the options menu items at least in Firefox 3.1. Closing as NOTGNOME.
