GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 546392
MMS URIs impossible
Last modified: 2008-11-18 11:05:18 UTC
Please describe the problem: I cant listen to any radio station that broadcasts by mms streaming, when using Banshee 1.2.0. Steps to reproduce: 1. insert new radio station (in this case, a mms stream like this one:mms://stream.radio.com.pt/ROLI-ENC-201) 2. click listen radio 3. nothing happens Actual results: cant listen do anything. Expected results: listen the radio station Does this happen every time? yes Other information: it is possible to listen mms streams with Rhythmbox...
I'm assuming you'd see an error message if you ran `banshee-1 --debug` in a terminal as follows: "System.InvalidOperationException: Only HTTP and local playlist access is supported" MMS URIs are not supported presently.
thank you for the reply. any chance in the near future?
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.

Doh, sorry, comment 5 was clearly a problem with PulseAudio, not Banshee.

Comment on attachment 122929 [details] Logfile The problem reappeared for me, I can't play mms streams in banshee 1.4.1 in Ubuntu Intrepid. Banshee freezes when I try to play a stream. I attached a logfile.
