Please describe the problem:
I cant listen to any radio station that broadcasts by mms streaming, when using Banshee 1.2.0.

Steps to reproduce:
1. insert new radio station (in this case, a mms stream like this one:mms://stream.radio.com.pt/ROLI-ENC-201)
2. click listen radio
3. nothing happens

Actual results:
cant listen do anything.

Expected results:
listen the radio station

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
it is possible to listen mms streams with Rhythmbox...

I'm assuming you'd see an error message if you ran `banshee-1 --debug` in a terminal as follows:
"System.InvalidOperationException: Only HTTP and local playlist access is supported"

MMS URIs are not supported presently.

Using the packages from the Build Service, version 1.2.1-9.1 on openSUSE 11.0, this no longer works:

As can be seen at http://jamesthevicar.com/index.cgi/1218626566enjoy_bbc_radio_in_banshee_again.jtv previous builds of 1.2.1 worked fine.
Comment 6 James Ogley 2008-08-26 15:13:52 UTC
Doh, sorry, comment 5 was clearly a problem with PulseAudio, not Banshee.

The problem reappeared for me, I can't play mms streams in banshee 1.4.1 in Ubuntu Intrepid. Banshee freezes when I try to play a stream.

I attached a logfile.
