Description bwhite 2001-05-14 13:19:36 UTC
Package: ORBit
Severity: normal
Version: 00.5.7-ximian.3
Synopsis: nautilus can't open oaf.
Bugzilla-Product: ORBit
Bugzilla-Component: general

Description:
I just upgraded to the newest ximian distribution. When I start up Nautilus,
it complains that it cannot connect to the oaf server. I have no idea what
this means really.

I tried logging in. I would prefer not rebooting this computer. I can live
without Nautilus.

I'm sorry that I can't give you more information, but this is all I know.

This isn't an ORBit bug. This is really a bug either against
Nautilus (which lives at http://bugzilla.eazel.com), oaf,
(ditto) or against Ximian's (http://bugzilla.ximian.com) distribution
of them. I'm closing it here, but feel free to report it to one of
those. ("notgnome" means "not living in gnome bugzilla")

In the meantime, living without nautilus sounds like the best
way to avoid rebooting if it's doing this. Not a good solution,
though. :(
