Description olafgladis 2008-08-04 09:15:33 UTC
hello,

i would like to have different wallpapers on different workspaces.
i like to use it with compiz fusion. but there is only the possibility to show different wallpapers on a cube (but you lose the icons)

personally i like the desktop wall.

a scripting interface to change one of the desktop wallpapers would be great.
so that i can add a cron job to change the wallpaper every hour. (but 4 different themes, each for one workspace)

it would also be nice that you can have different icons on each workspace.

it is possible that this is an duplicate of this bug.
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48004

but it says nothing about scripting or iconhandling.
