What were you doint in time of the crash? Just watching, seems to me.
What are revisions of evo and eds? You know, it's very hot at the moment.

I just clicked on a folder and left evolution idle. May be it was fetching changes / summary as after some time interval it removes the cache.

can you reproduce it? there has been some changes in eds, and in evo too, not sure how much related to this (9222 vs. 35859).

seems quite similar to bug #544657, which, I believe, has been fixed within other bug, it is set as a duplicate of. Please close as a duplicate if you also thing I could be right. Thanks in advance.
