When mousing over the clock applet's pop-up panel, little "set" buttons appear
by each clock. If the clock's description is almost as wide as the panel, the
appearance of the "set" button causes the panel to resize so that it extends
off the edge of the screen.

Oooh, good catch.  We need to set the window gravity or move it by hand when
the size changes.
