What were you doing when the application crashed? Evolution was loading corporate address list from OWA(exchange) and reading an RSS. New email notification was displayed. I select the exchange account in order to verify if the new email came from this account, 3 times because it open an close, then the Buddy dialog apear Distribution: Debian lenny/sid Gnome Release: 2.22.3 2008-06-30 (Debian) BugBuddy Version: 2.22.0 System: Linux 2.6.25-2-686 #1 SMP Fri Jul 18 17:46:56 UTC 2008 i686 X Vendor: The X.Org Foundation X Vendor Release: 10402000 Selinux: No Accessibility: Disabled GTK+ Theme: Clearlooks Icon Theme: gnome Memory status: size: 259706880 vsize: 259706880 resident: 75427840 share: 35078144 rss: 75427840 rss_rlim: 4294967295 CPU usage: start_time: 1216899952 rtime: 10327 utime: 8736 stime: 1591 cutime:6 cstime: 5 timeout: 0 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 100 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution' (no debugging symbols found) [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread 0xb66bb740 (LWP 5144)] [New Thread 0xad0c5b90 (LWP 30923)] [New Thread 0xaaeffb90 (LWP 29666)] [New Thread 0xac8c4b90 (LWP 5601)] [New Thread 0xad8c6b90 (LWP 5440)] [New Thread 0xb128bb90 (LWP 5439)] [New Thread 0xae8c8b90 (LWP 5438)] [New Thread 0xb2c2eb90 (LWP 5411)] [New Thread 0xb242db90 (LWP 5410)] [New Thread 0xb0a8ab90 (LWP 5409)] [New Thread 0xb342fb90 (LWP 5408)] [New Thread 0xb4245b90 (LWP 5405)] [New Thread 0xb3c30b90 (LWP 5182)] [New Thread 0xb4cf7b90 (LWP 5175)] (no debugging symbols found) 0xb7fbf424 in __kernel_vsyscall ()

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, the stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Could you please help fixing this by installing some debugging packages [1], start the application as normal, and try to reproduce the crash, if possible? Once bug-buddy pops up, you can find the stacktrace in the 'Details', now containing way more information. Please copy that stacktrace and paste it as a comment here. Thanks in advance! [1] Please install debug packages for evolution, evolution-data-server, gtkhtml, gtk, glib, gnome-vfs, pango, libgnome and libgnomeui (as far as those packages are provided by your distribution). More details can be found here: http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces

I did post a callback trace. I feel that RSS is the root cause. Several times it keep looking for news until the end of the session. Hope this help. Some packages does not has -dbg package associated Later, Manuel
The stacktrace still misses information for xulrunner-1.9/libxul.so, but I am totally sure that this is a duplicate of bug 541872. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 541872 ***
