Description kxroberto 2008-07-16 06:05:39 UTC
Please describe the problem:
v1.9.1
If one marks the autosave option, it currently saves to the actual file. There is no other option even. This is crucial, as only a conscious save should modify the real file (unless its not about database files (with special journaling)).
There should be a checkbox option to save to e.g. ("~filename.ext") next to the actual main file. This should be the default.

Steps to reproduce:
check the file time stamp after an autosave

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Comment 1 kxroberto 2008-07-17 07:25:37 UTC
See, when creating new files, the autosave option went off - thus was stored only file local. The option for autosave perhaps should also be globally settable.
Comment 2 kxroberto 2008-07-17 08:05:48 UTC
(The option is also not stored with the file. Just active during a session.)
Comment 3 Jody Goldberg 2008-09-19 22:41:21 UTC
Let's keep autosave issues in one spot.
