Description Maciej (Matthew) Piechotka 2008-07-10 23:39:12 UTC
After upgrading to XUL Runner 1.9 epiphany has shown an unfriendly handling of the unsecure certificates. I have to click on button fill the exception etc. It is very unconvinient if one vists some bugzillas (for example freedesktop).

Could it be handled more easily? If the additional steps are for warn users is it possible to add options (preferences/gconf) to turn it off [for advanced users]?

The messages presented by Firefox are clear, and the 'add exception' process makes it much harder for the user to override the certificate verification process.

IMO the user interface in 2.28 should be changed to be more like the Firefox one. :)

Obsolete with webkit backend?
Comment 3 Maciej (Matthew) Piechotka 2010-03-01 16:30:52 UTC
In webkit backend handling certificates is much worst (i.e. non-existing). I mark as dependent but yu may obsolete it as well if you think it is better way.
