GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 541170
cannot "save as"
Last modified: 2008-10-30 20:14:18 UTC
Please describe the problem: The GIMP 2.45, GNOME 2.22.2, Ubuntu 8.04 64 bits, ATI Radeon x1200. I haven't been able to reproduce the bug, but it happened 5 times: I had 4 (non large) images open, three of them with several layers, some saved flattened (but not closed), some unsaved. When I tried to "save as" the save dialog appeared empty and didn't show any option at all. I have had the gimp running for a while and been working with a lot of files (xcf's, jpeg's and gif's) mostly resizing, cropping and changing color modes. I made new files, copied the layers from the (non "saved-as" image), then saved. After that i had to go and haven't had time to reproduce. Steps to reproduce: 1. open several files. 2. crop, resize, change color modes, select, duplicate and create layers. 3. save some images, then try to "save as" the same images. Actual results: the "save as" dialog appears empty and doesn't show any options at all, therefore image wouldn't save as a different file. Expected results: the image to be saved as a different file Does this happen every time? no Other information: Please let me know if this kind of bug report is useless so I won't do it again.
