Description javiermon 2008-07-01 22:53:00 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Hi

I don't know what source or how does sound juicer get cd's metadata but I think it's more accurate than banshee. I've just had to rip Fear Factory's Demanufacture digipack cd which it since banshee couln't figure out the songs and album information. Maybe a simple plugin where you can add an URL, o let banshee try other sources before giving up

Thanks

For your information, there's a patch in bug #536132 to add Last.fm as a metadata provider.
Comment 2 Andrew Conkling 2008-07-10 20:32:44 UTC
Sound Juicer uses MusicBrainz for its metadata. Banshee used to, if I recall, but hasn't since 1.0. Leaving the severity at normal because of the regression.

MusicBrainz is working for me in 1.2; can you update and test?
Comment 4 Aaron Bockover 2008-09-22 19:19:57 UTC
This has been in since 1.0, and it's working fine for me.
