Description Yariv 2008-07-01 17:29:45 UTC
When right clicking a file and choosing "Make Link", or creating a link using drag-and-drop, the newly created link has the text "Link to " prepended to it's name.

This feature is actually not convenient. It would be helpful it that prepended text could be configurable or even totally eliminated by some means (e.g. gconf).

The following links show that other people need that feature:

This seems to be the same as bug ”534432 – Nautilus always uses "Link to ..." as symlink filenames”, right?
Comment 2 Yariv 2008-07-19 16:51:03 UTC
Yes, I somehow failed to find that when searching for the bug.
I'll mark the bug as a duplicate.
