Description erwin riegler 2008-06-25 07:55:39 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
I use evolution together with evolution-exchange on debian sid. Everything works fine except sending and replying to an email. Each time I try to send or reply to an email evolution just freezes after some seconds.

Stack trace:
after installing evolution-dbg, evolution-exchange-dbg, evolution-data-server-dbg and bug-buddy (as suggested by the link to stack trace) the same happens again, without any popping up information from bug-buddy.

Hi,

thanks for taking time to report that bug.

Without a stacktrace, it's pretty hard to tell what causes this issue. Yuo might want to have a look at http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details in order to get us a stacktrace. Especially the section about "Obtaining a stack trace using GDB with a running program" might help you to get us a stacktrace.

Which version are you using anyway?

Hi,

thanks a lot for your quick response!

I am using evolution 2.22. After browsing through a couple of bug reports I found
out that it is the same problem as in bug # 532771. Adding the Global Address List (GAL) server in the configuration of evolution fixed the problem.
