GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 540005
Browser don't go back to "Computer" location when entering and going back from a volume
Last modified: 2008-06-24 22:52:37 UTC
Please describe the problem: While browsing a volume that has been entered from "Computer" and the "Back" button is pressed the browser points to "Media" which is quite confusing, so does the navigation bar once the volume has been accessed. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the "Computer" location 2. Enter into a volume 3. Press back or notice the navigation bar Actual results: You're redirected to /media Expected results: You should be back on "Computer" and the "Computer" location should be part of the navigation bar. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: /media is a system specific detail that should not be exposed in the UI. First reason is that the user accessing to volumes from "Computer" expect to be there once they hit back, the second is that it hides the complexity of the mount operation from the user
Hi Alberto, thanks for the report. Here clicking "Back" works as expected, i.e. it returns to "Computer". Clicking "Up" instead brings to /media, which is a known bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 422099 ***
