GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 539691
Evolution Mail and Calendar: Hi Evolution frequently...
Last modified: 2009-09-04 06:17:33 UTC
Hi Evolution frequently uses the "wrong" smtp-server of a different account when I try sending messages from another account. It happens when trying to write new mails, maybe also when replying to old mails. I have my evolution account set up with two private g-mail imap accounts (a+b), one of them being the main-account for evolution. Additionally I have installed two pop accounts (x+y) for work. Now, all accounts work fine except account x. Every now and then when I try to send a message for account x, the message doesn't go out but stays put in the outgoing folder. When I hit the button send+receive, I can see a process trying to send that mail, but in the status-line of that process I can also see that it is trying to connect to one of the g-mail smtp's instead of the specific smtp of account x. The weird thing: it never happens with account y. I have tried to delete account x and set it up from scratch, but the problem persists. hope it helps you to find this bug? best regards paull ps It happens quite often (several times a day) but I am not able to reproduce it on demand. Distribution: Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy) Gnome Release: 2.22.2 2008-06-03 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.22.0
You are able to send mail successfully ? It's just the send / receive dialog which bother you ? If yes, bug 336337
Sorry, it's too long ago to answer your question properly. I don't remember (not using Evolution anymore...). But that bug seems pretty similar. Probably a duplicate...
