What were you doing when the application crashed?
gnome-games have been installed by default with ubuntu 8.04, i was playing and then have installed libraries needed to play with 3d view - python opengl and python gtkglext - in that combination chess won't run in 3d view so i have installed glchess -> then synaptic had removed gnome-games... while i can't still play 3d view in glchess so i have removed it... and installed gnome-games back... now chess from gnome-games won't run... HELP ME please :/

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
