GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 538390
[to confirm] Orca should provide access to Impress' outline view
Last modified: 2008-07-22 18:31:22 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 0. Enable echo by word if it's not already enabled. 1. Launch Impress and create a new blank presentation. 2. View menu -> Outline 3. Create new slides by typing multi-word titles and pressing Return. Expected results: Orca would echo each word typed. Actual results: Orca is silent. 4. While typing a title, use backspace and/or delete. Expected results: Orca would speak the character which was deleted. Actual results: Orca is silent. 5. Use Up/Down/Left/Right to review the text in the outline. Expected results: Orca would speak the line/character moved to. Actual results: Orca is silent.
I just the above in OOo 2.4 (build which ships with Ubuntu) and the outline worked as expected. The above report is for OOo 3.0 dev.
Created attachment 112844 [details] Orca debug log generated whilst testing this problem. Again, we're getting no accessibility events as we type into the outline window (see the lines at the end of the attached debug.out file). I'll file YAOOOB and block this one against it.
I've opened issue #90786 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=90786 against this problem. Blocking this one. It feels similar to one of the previous ones I've recently submitted, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's closed as a duplicate.
The other bug was marked as a dup of http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=79706, which has been closed. Making this one [to confirm].
I just tested with OOo-dev 3.0.0 Beta DEV300m25 (Build:9330) on my Solaris box. The test case works as expected. Yeah! Closing.
