Contents of "Save In Folder" combo box not indicated in speech/braille in Firefox/Thunderbird
Last modified: 2008-06-23 15:28:57 UTC
Please describe the problem: When using the Save As dialog box in Firefox and Thunderbird, the contents of the "Save In Folder" combo box are not indicated by speech or braille when the combo box receives focus. Steps to reproduce: 1. In Firefox or Thunderbird, pull down the File menu and choose Save As. 2. Shift-Tab four times to move focus to the Save In Folder combo box 3. Actual results: No speech or braille output. Expected results: The contents of the combo box (the folder where the file will be saved) should be spoken and sent to the braille display. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: Workaround: press Numpad-Enter to hear the contents of the combo box.

We'll try to get to this for GNOME 2.24.0. Thanks for reporting this bug!

I just tested this and it is working well. I tested in both today's build of firefox and today's build of thunderbird. I patched svn trunk rev 3993. Thanks!
Thanks David! It also passes the regression tests; is pylinted; and is a small, conservative patch. Therefore, I've gone ahead and checked it in. Moving to pending.
