Description Simone Tolotti 2008-05-31 20:52:53 UTC
I have some albums recorded by various artists. Actually they are showed as separate albums in albums column.
For example I have "100 greatest guitar solos" (about 90 artists) and about 90 repetition of the album title in albums column.

The default import and presentation of media defaults to artist instead of album title. Importing one album generates an album for each artist on an imported album.

This bug also seems to contradict the track ID3 information which has the correct album title for all tracks. For example, the ID3 album title of "Bad Boys II" is not used for any track on the album featuring any other artists.

This also creates the impossible situation of ordering playlists.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.

ja steed, I'm not sure what you're discussing (sounds related but different) but could you address it on the mailing list? This bug has been fixed, but there have been a lot of questions about how it behaves.
