GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 535100
Not possible to open certain ftp-directories
Last modified: 2008-05-27 19:40:35 UTC
Please describe the problem: On a ftp-Server I have a directory which is a symbolic link. When I want to open that folder with nautilus it says that the symbolic link is incorrect (German: Verknüpfung ist fehlerhaft). [i think it is a valid link on the server, maybe it is not a good idea from the ftp-server to display it as a symbolic link to the ftp-client] When I open link directly via the address bar nautilus says the specified location is not an folder (German: Der angegebene Ort ist kein Ordner.) In ftp on the command line: ftp> ls 200 PORT command successful. 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls. lrwxrwxrwx 1 mxxxxxxx b25grp 25 Oct 3 2004 www -> /www/b25/mxxxxxxx-bxxxxx 226 Transfer complete. ftp> cd www 250 CWD command successful. Then I cann access all the files in that folder. Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
