GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 535042
All IRC chats are titled "Conversation" instead of with channel name
Last modified: 2008-11-24 09:50:37 UTC
Please describe the problem:
All IRC chats, whether joined through Favorites or via Room -> Join New... have the title "Conversation".
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set up an IRC account
2. From Contact List window menu select Room -> Join New... and join e.g. #asdf
The chat window is titled "Conversation"
The chat window should be titled "#asdf"
Does this happen every time?
Actual version of Empathy Ubuntu package is 0.23.1-1~ppa8.04+1, installed from http://ppa.launchpad.net/telepathy/ubuntu/.
Just saw https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16345 and got to wondering whether this is an Empathy issue or a framework issue.
I agree, Empathy should give a better name to the window.
This is already fixed I think. Could you try with latest version from SVN and reopen if it still break?
