GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 534898
nautilus no longer shows hostname on remote ssh folders
Last modified: 2011-08-11 12:41:58 UTC
the bug has been described on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/230721 "Binary package hint: nautilus With hardy, when I open a remote folder over ssh (via the Places -> Connect to server menu item from the panel), the folder shows the basename of the remote folder, but not the hostname. With gutsy, it showed the hostname as well. Gutsy: "liw on malich" Hardy: "liw" This makes is harder to distinguish which window shows the "liw" folder on which machine. http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14711545/nautilus-ssh-window.png The wrong title is used in the window title. Screenshot attached."
Seems to be correct in nautilus 2.30.1 (Ubuntu Lucid). OK to close?
No feedback => Closing. Please reopen if still an issue in 2.32/3.0.
