Description john 2008-05-24 18:18:55 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. When trying to print, printer shows up as lpr for the printer. When you click "ok" these errors are generated....
2. Printing error: command 'lpr' caused sigpipe. Printing error: command 'lpr' returned 256
3. I have a Laserjet 4 printer which printed fine with an earlier version of this application.

Dia 0.96 depends on a working implementation of 'lpr'. I'm getting the same error code/message but on console it prints "lpr: Error - scheduler not responding". No surprise here becuase I haven't set up a printer (I don't even know how to do this under Linux:)).
The upcoming version 0.97 will use a more modern print infrastructure - namely gtk+-print/cairo which has a cups backend. But even there printing will fail if not properly setup - outside of Dia.
