The gnome-screenshot program is quite good at taking fast screenshots of the desktop, and it is a pity that it cannot work non-interactively. The attached patch adds a simple -f/--filename parameter that makes it dump a screenshot to the given filename and exit, with no dialogs by default.

The patch applies cleanly against both trunk and branch 2-20. Only tested on the latter.

patch does not apply anymore after the port to GIO.
