GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 533133
Ability to Open remote image (by pasting URL)
Last modified: 2015-12-18 17:46:30 UTC
There is one function I miss in gThumb which I think is best image viewer and organizer for GNOME. The feature I would like to see in next gThumb release is ability to Open remote image (by pasting URL). This option is very useful when you open an image in Internet browser and want, for example, to increase, modify and save it). This works great in Mirage-GTK Image Viewer http://mirageiv.berlios.de/
Once gthumb trunk is ported to gio/gvfs, gthumb should support all of the methods that gio/gvfs supports, which includes ftp and http. See bug 525482. - Mike
Marking as obsolete, as the 2.x version are no longer supported. Please feel free to reopen this bug report if it describes a problem that still occurs with a current version of gThumb (currently 3.4.1).
