Description Janvitus 2008-05-12 22:22:25 UTC
Hello, Conduit ignore the translation (I'm the italian translator ;) ).

The Ubuntu 8.04 version doesn't use translation either (French), even if the language file is installed in /usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/conduit.mo

I'll see if I can run a jhbuild development version...
Comment 2 Jorge González 2008-09-17 21:57:24 UTC
Yeap, Spanish as well. I guess ALL translations.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2008-09-18 18:39:34 UTC
No translations used is a total blocker. Please try to fix in time for GNOME 2.24.0(next Monday).
Comment 4 Claude Paroz 2008-09-30 13:05:54 UTC
I'd like to help on this. One of the possible problems is the content of defs.py. On my system (Hardy), it is:
APPVERSION = "0.3.6"
APPNAME = "conduit"
PYTHONDIR = "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages"
LOCALE_DIR = "${prefix}/share/locale"
SHARED_DATA_DIR = "/usr/share/conduit"
SHARED_MODULE_DIR = "/usr/lib/conduit/modules"

BIN_DIR = "/usr/bin"
DATA_DIR = "@DATADIR@"
LIB_DIR = "/usr/lib"

Shouldn't be the '${prefix}' in the LOCALE_DIR replaced by '/usr'?
Comment 5 André Klapper 2008-09-30 13:10:50 UTC
Interesting, my output is a bit different (Fedora 9):

[root@embrace ~]# more /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/conduit/defs.py
VERSION = "0.3.13"
PYTHONDIR = "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages"
BIN_DIR = "/usr/bin"
LIB_DIR = "/usr/lib"
LOCALE_DIR = "${prefix}/share/locale"
SHARED_DATA_DIR = "/usr/share/conduit"
SHARED_MODULE_DIR = "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/conduit/modules"
BROWSER_IMPL = "system"
SETTINGS_IMPL = "GConf"
Comment 6 Janvitus 2008-09-30 17:14:37 UTC
I've changed the locale_dir path to "/usr/share/locale", and now the translation work.

Ubuntu Linux Hardy Heron AMD64.
