Hi
Its showing Thursday 08 May'2008 in the calendhar section(which is correct), When I Double-click it it shows Sunday 08May'2008 (whih is wrong)

please paste here the output of locale. 

Also, if you start evolution with: 
  LANG=C evolution
does the problem persist?
