Description Josselin Mouette 2008-05-07 15:38:03 UTC
Initial report : http://bugs.debian.org/479860

Currently, g_list_sort is a stable sort, but the documentation does not state it explicitly. It would be nice to state it and guarantee it in future evolutions of this function. The only evolution proposed, in bug#113203, does not question the need for it to be stable, so it would be good to have in the documentation so that applications can rely on it.

Discussed this on IRC with owen and we both agreed it would be helpful to state this guarantee in the docs.
