Description gaffin 2008-05-06 18:27:00 UTC
I would like to be able to turn off the menu bar and the tab bar. When I use Vinagre, I'm rarely actually using the Vinagre UI, so I don't usually need access to the menu bar.

Also, if I only have one vnc connection, I have no use for the tab bar.

By removing these bars when not needed, I would gain a significant bit of vertical space in my remote desktop.

Thanks.

Hi.

Yes, it makes sense to me. Something like 'minimal view', which simulates vncviewer behavior.

By the way, the tab stuff has been fixed. See bug #518351.

Comment 3 André Klapper 2021-05-26 09:25:29 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Vinagre, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/vinagre/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
