GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 531338
Request for two decimal places in file sizes of copy operations
Last modified: 2012-12-04 21:03:14 UTC
Currently when copying files the output in the "File operations" window jumps from "1023.9 MB" to "1.0 GB". When copying large amounts of data over a slow network connection first you can clearly see the progress in form of an increasing number of bytes. As soon as you hit 1GB, almost no progress can be seen. The jump from "1.0 GB" to "1.1 GB" in my case takes almost 3 minutes. Other information:
File operations dialog redesign is currently being discussed. You can join the discussion if you want and post your suggestions.
