Description Alexander van Loon 2008-04-30 14:05:37 UTC
Please support OpenID - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenID - so we don't all need to remember a separate password for b.g.o. and can simply authenticate with our OpenID's.

That is up to Bugzilla, not GNOME Bugzilla:

That bug is, essentially, fixed by this bugzilla extension: https://github.com/jalcine/bugzilla-openid

It would be cool then if we could use it on BGO.

How can I help to make this a reality? Lowering the barrier to make our users report bugs sounds like a big win.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2015-01-02 16:48:15 UTC
With which Bugzilla versions has https://github.com/jalcine/bugzilla-openid been tested? Does it work with upstream Bugzilla 4.4?
Comment 4 Alexandre Franke 2017-04-25 08:44:42 UTC
The README for the extension clearly states it’s not maintained anymore so it should not be considered. So back to square one, this is a bugzilla upstream issue (and they closed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294608 as WONTFIX).
