Description Stéphane Charette 2008-04-28 21:12:41 UTC
I've upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 and enabled "Require encryption" on my home computer's "Remote Desktop Preferences". I now have to use "Remote Desktop Viewer" (Vinagre) v0.5.1 since Terminal Server Client doesn't support encrypted VNC connections.

But, "Remote Desktop Viewer" seems to only know how to connect at full 24 (or 32?) bit colour depth, which slows down the connection to my home computer so much that is becomes unusable.

This feature request is to support the low-colour indexing that it seems is required to have VNC work correctly across slow links.
