The username part is in bug #525555;
the not-uploading part, hmm, what kind of event do you mean? There is still no support for recurring events, but simple events should work properly.

Hi!

I have the same problem - any calendar modification (new event, delete event ...) done through evolution does not appear on google.

I sniffed communication between evolution and google server and probably found a clue why it is not working:

1. evo sends POST request on /calendar/feeds/martin@bendovi.cz/private/full with the new event

2. google responds with HTTP 302 reponse: moved temporalily to http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/martin@bendovi.cz/private/full?gsessionid=BtvogiQW1vcNMJ_ozwWXYA - !!! this is probably the cause of the problem

3. evo send GET request on /calendar/feeds/martin@bendovi.cz/private/full?gsessionid=BtvogiQW1vcNMJ_ozwWXYA

4. google responds with HTTP 200 response that contains the calendar

I will be glad if I can provide some further information to solve this bug...

Regards,
Bendis

Hi Martin, the redirections are tracked in bug #521921 and the patch from there is in actual trunk. When I was testing that patch, it seemed to work fine. I would appreciate any testing from other people too, for sure. Thanks.

Maybe the bug was really because of redirections, can we close this then? I can mark it as duplicate of the above bug, if we are able to "prove" it's the same issue.

Just tried gnome 2.24 and synchronization from evo to google calendar works fine! :-) So my problems were really caused by the redirection bug.
