Description Bastien Nocera 2008-04-26 00:19:44 UTC
Regression in nautilus-2.22.2-5.fc9.i386

Copying a filename whilst editing its name doesn't work anymore.

1. Create a new file
2. Press F2 to rename it, select a portion of the name
3. Press Ctrl+C to copy the selected text
4. Paste it somewhere

It should be the portion of selected text that's copied (as in nautilus 2.20.x), but instead it's the full file URI.

I am using vanilla Nautilus from SVN trunk and I don't see this issue, the steps above paste the selected portion of the name file.
Does that always happen regardless of the view/mode?
Can you try to reproduce it with a SVN snapshot?
Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2008-04-28 16:53:04 UTC
Most likely a dupe of bug 314431
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2008-04-29 15:57:39 UTC
It's a bug in "Locate pointer" (another one...)
Comment 4 Behdad Esfahbod 2008-10-31 19:00:28 UTC
Still relevant?
Comment 5 Bastien Nocera 2008-10-31 19:48:09 UTC
Yes, it's a by-product of bug 125618.
