Description Arand 2008-04-25 17:11:41 UTC
I would like to have the possibility to disable nautilus 'remembering' the view setting for individual folders, this I presume would mean disabling/clearing the metafiles (for everything except the Desktop).

(This can be done quite easily with a home-made shutdown/reboot script deleting the files. But this will only clear it on shutdown/reboot.)

Ideal would be if one could choose to clear on either termination of nautilus (e.g. relogin), or even on closing all nautilus browsing windows.

This last option would mean that nautilus would have to reload the metafiles for the browser on a browser-window start instead of on the 'nautilus-process' start (which I presume is the way it's done at the moment).

This is actually a GVfs enhancement request nowadays.
