lot of strings not translated due to incorrect potfiles lists

The current 0.4.n version are poorly translated due to incorrect POTFILES lists That's what intltool-update summarize "The following files contain translations and are currently not in use. Please consider adding these to the POTFILES.in file, located in the po/ directory. extensions/FlickrExport/FlickrExport.addin.xml extensions/FlickrExport/FlickrExport.cs extensions/FlickrExport/FlickrExport.glade extensions/MetaPixel/MetaPixel.addin.xml extensions/MetaPixel/MetaPixel.cs extensions/MetaPixel/MetaPixel.glade extensions/PicasaWebExport/PicasaWebExport.addin.xml extensions/PicasaWebExport/google-sharp/CaptchaException.cs extensions/PictureTile/PictureTile.addin.xml extensions/PictureTile/PictureTile.cs extensions/PictureTile/PictureTile.glade extensions/SmugMugExport/SmugMugExport.addin.xml extensions/SmugMugExport/SmugMugExport.cs extensions/SmugMugExport/SmugMugExport.glade src/Core/Photo.cs If some of these files are left out on purpose then please add them to POTFILES.skip instead of POTFILES.in. A file 'missing' containing this list of left out files has been written in the current directory."
Listing those files in the POTFILES.in makes 100 extra strings being translatable
basic strings as the "F_older..." one in the export menu are still not translatable, is there any reason you listed lot of files in POTFILES.skip when they contain user visible strings?
the extensions should not be translated with the main application, as they're suposed to be distributed differently. most of the files you're listing here are already listed in .skip. am updating it right now, thx for keeping an eye on this.
the dialog to export photos to a directory is not translatable in the stock tarball you distribute and you consider that as normal then? users expect to have the whole interface translated in their locale
no, I do not consider this as "normal" at all. am just accepting the situation as it is transitional. am hoping to find some time soon to add the boilerplate to make the addins translatables.
reopening, the current tarball should be translatable correctly, there is no reason why you can't list those in the POTFILES.in while they are shipped in the f-spot tarball, that doesn't stop you doing changes later and f-spot will be translatable
