Description Bryan Ford 2008-04-19 18:36:53 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I check the box in preferences to load subtitles automatically, they work fine when loading a local video with an an external subtitle file.

However, if I access my Windows shares, when I attempt to open a file that has subtitles, Totem just freezes and tries to load data. I'm guessing that Totem is attempting to copy the entire file over to my computer before loading.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Find a Windows share
2. Have a movie file with external subtitles in a folder.
3. Check the "Automatically Load Subtitles" in preferences.
4. Attempt to open in Windows shares.

Actual results:
Totem freezes/attempts to copy the entire movie to my hard drive from the network.

Expected results:
I would expect Totem to just open the movie file and play it off the network with subtitle support working.

Does this happen every time?
Yes. :(

Already fixed (as in, the feature was added) in 2.23.x.
