Description GreatBunzinni 2008-04-18 06:18:50 UTC
I've set both the top and the bottom panel to hide automatically but sometimes they persist visible. In order to get them "unstuck" I need to touch the screen border with the mouse cursor.

You'd have to define "sometimes" :-) Does this happen after you open an applet menu? Or when you move the mouse during alt-tab? If yes, this is a known bug.

Unfortunately it's a bit hard to pinpoint what triggers this behaviour. I simply find the panels "sticking" when I wish to access some application's menu bar or status bar. Nonetheless, it isn't the alt-tab feature as I never used it. I can keep an eye on things to see if I manage to find a way to replicate this.

While I'm at it, is it possible to supply a link to the bug report you mentioned?

I've just found out a way to replicate this bug. It seems that it is only a matter of closing an application that has a tray icon directly from the application's tray icon menu. At least it works with rhythmbox and pidgin.
