bluez-gnome should provide a neat widget to list available phones in applications, as discussed on http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495271 (to get a list of phones in the configuration panel for telepathy-phoney in Empathy)

gnome-bluetooth now has a chooser button, and a chooser treeview available. Please file separate bugs if the APIs aren't to your taste.
