Description Dumitru Postoronca 2008-04-11 21:48:51 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Follow the simple steps to reproduce and see for yourself :)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start gedit
2. Type "a \x a" (without the quotes)
3. Select the "\x" part of the text
4. Press Ctrl+F

Actual results:
The Search window shows that it's searching for \\x

Expected results:
The input box should show \x

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
It's not a big issue because the search actually finds & highlights the \x, but still, it's incorrect.
