Description info 2008-04-08 12:14:50 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When selecting a menu item, the text of that item disappears as soon as it is clicked or, at the next level down, when the cursor hovers over it. The small icon however remains visible.

The program was installed using Windows XP SP2 compatibility under Vista 64bit so it wouldn't surprise me if this is a compatibility issue.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Dia v0.96.1
2. Click on a top-level menu item
3. Move the cursor down over the available options

Actual results:
Upon clicking (step 2) or hovering (step3), the menu item text disappears and a white rectangle is displayed.

Expected results:
The text should remain visible

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Thanks for this report.

I don't have Vista 64bit available for testing.
I cannot reproduce the problem using Windows 2000 so your guess might be correct.

Do other GTK+ programs like GIMP have the same problem?

looks like a Gtk+ issue fixed for gtk-2-12 (you should be able to work around it by using the gtk+ native theme)

Thanks for the information.

If you don't know how to switch to the GTK+ native theme,
the following might help you: Just rename the folder

c:\Program Files\Dia\share\themes\MS-Windows
