Description Pawel Salek 2008-04-07 09:35:27 UTC
gconf logs useless syslog messages. See below:
Apr 7 11:17:37 host1 gconfd (alice-3108): Resolved address "xml:readonly:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults" to a read-only configuration source at position 2
Apr 7 11:20:17 host2 gconfd (bob-14810): 地址“xml:readonly:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory”解析为位于 0 的只读配置源

There are two problems here. The first message has a debugging character, does not need to be logged by default. The second character is completely useless for the administrator which reads the logs.
I suggest that such messages are only logged on request, and that they are never translated.
