Description Herjan 2008-04-03 08:45:47 UTC
My OS is Fedora 8.

After installing kernel-2.6.24.3-50.fc8 I don't get any sound.

Error message when I try to test the sound as a user:
audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink: Internal GStreamer error: state change failed. Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer.

I got the same problem with kernel-2.6.24.4-64.fc8.

#lspci
00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)

That's the chipset where it's all about.
