GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 525178
Podcasting link dissappeared for one of my users
Last modified: 2008-12-07 02:56:54 UTC
Please describe the problem: My wife was using banshee purely for podcasting on our Ubuntu laptop (1.10) and for some reason the link on the left (where the music library / radio etc. are selected) for podcasting has disappeared. On my account (the main admin account on the machine) however this isn't a problem and the link is there. (I have not downloaded any podcasts however). I tried reinstalling, and deleting (including config settings) and then reinstalling but still it didn't fix it. (and it didn't delete all the config settings as the music library with the previously downloaded podcasts was still there on my wifes account). When starting from the console we see the following error: kerry@acer-laptop:~$ banshee Debug: [30/03/2008 21:11:20] (Loading audio profiles) - /usr/share/banshee/audio-profiles Debug: [30/03/2008 21:11:20] (Default player engine) - GStreamer 0.10 Debug: [30/03/2008 21:11:20] (Audio CD Core Initialised) - Warning: [30/03/2008 21:11:20] (Power Management Call Failed) - Cannot find GNOME Power Manager: Name org.gnome.PowerManager has no owner Debug: [30/03/2008 21:11:20] (Enabled multimedia keys support) - Using org.gnome.SettingsDaemon Unable to load Podcast DB System.FormatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime. at System.DateTime.Parse (System.String s, IFormatProvider fp, DateTimeStyles styles) [0x00000] at System.DateTime.Parse (System.String s, IFormatProvider fp) [0x00000] at System.DateTime.Parse (System.String s) [0x00000] at Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteDataReader.ReadpVm (IntPtr pVm, Int32 version, Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteCommand cmd) [0x00000] at Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteDataReader..ctor (Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteCommand cmd, IntPtr pVm, Int32 version) [0x00000] at (wrapper remoting-invoke-with-check) Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteDataReader:.ctor (Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteCommand,intptr,int) at Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteCommand.ExecuteReader (CommandBehavior behavior, Boolean want_results, System.Int32& rows_affected) [0x00000] at Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteCommand.ExecuteReader (CommandBehavior behavior) [0x00000] at Mono.Data.SqliteClient.SqliteCommand.ExecuteReader () [0x00000] at Banshee.Database.QueuedSqliteCommand.Execute () [0x00000] A corrupted podcast DB then? Suggestions on how to fix it appreciated. Steps to reproduce: Unknown. Probably always exists on the user account on which it manifests. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? yes Other information: Going to try deleting all the podcasts from that account and see if that helps.
Can you confirm your version.
